Zoo U, one of 3C Institute’s soon-to-be-released social-emotional learning games, received special mention in the U.S. Department of Education’s official blog about the Ed Games Expo, where the game was presented. Zoo U was noted as “help[ing] grade school students navigate a series of challenging social situations.”
The Expo was coordinated by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the U.S. Department of Education. It showcased 25 new learning games developed with funding from the Small Business Innovation Research programs at the Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences and other federal programs, such as the National Science Foundation and the Smithsonian. The event was attended by 150 people who played prototypes of the games and met with the developers.
