See It, Be It (for Professionals)Are you or someone you know a professional in a school or clinical setting who works with 6th-8th grade youth? Would you like to participate in an online review of a computer-based story intervention to assist at-risk youth with school engagement and motivation? As part of a grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), 3-C ISD is looking for professionals who work with middle school youth to review our program and tell us what they think about it. If you are eligible and are chosen to participate in the study, you will be asked to review the computer program online and complete an online questionnaire providing feedback about the program. Upon completion of the online review and questionnaire, you will receive $50. If you are interested in participating in this study, please complete this brief eligibility survey. If you have any questions about the research study, please contact Alaina Boyle at (919) 677-0102 x547 or sibi@3cisd.com. |

Centervention StudyWith funding from the National Institute of Mental Health, 3-C ISD has developed Centervention, a flexible online tool designed to support evidence-based programs in real-world settings. Centervention provides training, ongoing implementation support, real-time progress and adherence monitoring, student outcomes tracking, and secure data entry and reporting. We are currently recruiting up to 32 elementary schools to be a part of a research study to test Centervention. Participating schools will begin testing Centervention in July 2013. School counselors and teachers will be trained to implement at least two evidence-based programs focused on children's social-emotional health. Selected schools will receive $500-$1,500 to use toward academic initiatives or professional development. Educators in the study will receive free professional training and program materials that normally cost over $10,000. Learn more or apply for the study now. Or contact Leigh Poole at schoolstudy@centervention.org or (919) 677-0102 x595 for more information. |
