Kindergartners/1st Graders and their Parents Needed to Review a Bullying Prevention Game

With funding from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 3C Institute is looking for kindergarten and 1st grade students and their parents to review and provide feedback for a prototype of a serious game addressing bullying prevention.

To be eligible, you should have a child in kindergarten or 1st grade. Participating children and parents will each:

  • Review graphic design and background options
  • Complete surveys to rate and rank art preferences
  • Participate in separate focus groups and give feedback for improvements

In addition, parents will be asked for suggestions for ways to use the game at home.

The study will require one in-person visit to 3C Institute in Durham, NC, which will take approximately one hour. Children will receive a small gift at the end of the study. Families will receive a $25 gift card for completing questionnaires and participating in focus groups. Parents will also receive travel reimbursement for traveling to 3C’s offices (up to 40 miles roundtrip).
