Biography
Ms. Brightwood, LCSW is the Director of Curriculum Development at 3-C ISD. She completed her MSW at the University of Kentucky and has been a practicing clinician for over a decade. She is an avid writer and artist, as well. She enjoys the challenge of bringing innovative curricula to life with creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Ms. Brightwood has designed and authored multiple curricula to help children enhance social and emotional learning, character education, and manage grief and bereavement. She is the author and illustrator of numerous books for children.

Katie Garard is the Finance Manager for 3-C Institute for Social Development, Inc, 3-C Family Services, P.A. and SELmedia, Inc. She is also a part of company management and serves as a Team Leader. Her primary job responsibility is overall financial management including both analysis and daily functions. Ms. Garard received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and communication from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC.

Amy Greenblatt is a Research Assistant at 3-C Institute for Social Development. She received her B.A. in Psychology, with a concentration in Clinical Psychology, and an A.S. in Chemical Dependency from Keene State College. Her background includes clinical experience working with women with eating disorders, adolescents with mental illness, and children living in government subsidized housing. Her research interests include early childhood treatment and prevention of mental illness, ethnocultural considerations in the treatment of child and adolescent mental illness, and the effects of socioeconomic class on social skills development.

Dr. Harrell is a research associate at 3-CISD. She earned her doctorate in Child and Family Development/Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia. Dr. Harrell holds a joint appointment with 3-C ISDs partner company, 3-C Family Services, where she serves as a therapist specializing in the assessment and treatment of adolescents, families, and couples. Her primary research interests are adolescent development, promoting resilience factors in minority children and families, and social intervention strategies.

Biography
Carly Hoffend is a Research Assistant at 3-C Institute for Social Development. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester and is currently working toward her Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Prior to 3-C ISD, her graduate research involved assessment with maltreated children and qualitative exploration of the coach’s role in developing psychological strengths in child and adolescent female athletes. Carly’s current research interests focus on promoting psychological strengths and protective factors in children and adolescents through early prevention and intervention.

Dr. Long is a post doctoral research associate at 3-C ISD. She earned her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Long's broad research interest is the understanding of child and family systems and the enhancement of their functioning. Specifically, she is interested in socio-contextual influences on educational and behavioral health disparities, early childhood academic and behavioral interventions, and program evaluation. Through her research she strives to promote positive development, resiliency, and academic competence among at-risk children.

Biography
Emily Maschauer is a Research Assistant at 3-C Institute for Social Development. Emily obtained her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Radford University and she received a B.A. in Psychology at UNC-Greensboro. She recruits participants, develops questionnaires, and collects data for ongoing research studies. She also works on writing grants and manuscripts as well as running intervention testing activities. Her current areas of interest include adolescents, suicidal ideations, emotion regulation, social anxiety and social skills training, cognitive-behavioral learning, impulse control, and perception of the self/self-awareness. These interests stem from Emily’s time as a psychotherapist using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with undergraduate students with emotion regulation disorders and self-harming behaviors.

Mr. Moore has been awarded two Student Emmys (Local Music Venues): one for his work as an editor and cameraman, and the second for Technical Achievement (Hat Amnesty public service announcement).

Dr. Davis completed her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She completed her internship in clinical psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) where she obtained training in both inpatient and outpatient therapy, assessment of autism and developmental disabilities, and pediatric psychology. Her post-doctoral fellowship was completed in the Division of Pediatric Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at UNC-CH working with children with chronic illness and their families.
