About 3-C Institute for Social Development
3-C ISD's success is built upon a unique set of highly talented and skilled staff. Currently, 3-C ISD employs 45 staff members representing a wide array of professional expertise and experience. In addition to management and administration, 3-C ISD houses five departments: Graphic Design, Audio-Visual, Scientific Editorial, Information Techology (IT), and Research.
The Graphic Design Department ensures that all written, web-based, and multi-media products produced through 3-C ISD are of the highest visual quality and design. This team's expertise lies in logo development and branding for products and websites as well as creating original illustration using the gamut of fine art mediums, ranging from watercolors, pencils, oils, and acrylics to fully computer-generated graphic imagery and layout. Through this team's efforts, 3-C ISD's products are maximally visually appealing, easily usable, and on the cutting edge of communication arts.
The Audio-Visual Department has the capacity to completely design and produce professional-grade audio, video, interactive electronic media, and Internet media. This team of talented professionals specializes in video acquisition, interactive CD and DVD authoring, digital media encoding and compression, online editing, concept and script development, multi-layered composite 2D and 3D graphics, custom music composition, and voice-recording. 3-C ISD maintains in-house professional-grade cameras, audio equipment, editing facilities, computer graphics stations, interactive media programming software, and custom-built digital video conversion software.
The Scientific Editorial Department ensures that all written materials produced by 3-C ISD, including publications, curricula, and website text, adhere to high standards of quality, accuracy, and clarity. This team works extensively on 3-C ISD's website projects to edit video- and text-based materials for creation of effective online presentation formats and develop engaging, web-based continuing education (CE) courses with innovative interactive features. 3-C ISD is accredited as a provider of CE training through the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB).
The Technology Department includes highly skilled technical staff with expertise in a wide array of technologies, including website design and testing, systems architecture, interactive software development, online data collection, e-learning and learning management systems, database administration, and information systems security. This team has substantial experience creating customized websites and online software applications, for both 3-C ISD and external partners, that are maximally user-friendly, functional, and secure.
The Research Department manages all research projects for 3-C ISD from conception to implementation to publication. This team integrates expertise from a wide array of fields relevant to 3-C ISD's research and development, including child development, clinical psychology, special education, public health, and multivariate statistics. The skills and talents of this team ensure that 3-C ISD's research meets the highest quality standards using the most up-to-date and validated scientific interventions and tools and adheres to ethical standards for research with human subjects.
Most importantly, 3-C ISD brings together, under one roof, all of these multi-talented teams of highly skilled individuals. At 3-C ISD, every project benefits from the contributions of all the teams working together in collaboration to combine efforts and produce the most innovative, high-quality, effective product possible. This teamwork is the key to 3-C ISD's success.
Professional clinical resources are also available through 3-C ISD's sister company, 3-C Family Services (3-C FS), an outpatient mental health practice with 15 multi-disciplinary clinicians providing a range of psychiatric and psychological services. 3-C FS houses highly skilled clinicians with expertise in psychiatry, clinical psychology, school psychology, social work, and family and marital therapy. While 3-C ISD and 3-C FS are independent companies, they are housed together so that they can collaborate synergistically to support and inform one another's work.
3-C ISD has established a wide network of partners, locally and across the U.S., representing diverse disciplines (e.g., computer science, statistics, psychiatry, disabilities, neuroscience). For any particular project, 3-C ISD has multiple external partners who support the objectives of the project through collaboration and consultation. 3-C ISD has also established a Business Advisory Board of highly successful business professionals who are available to 3-C ISD for on-going business development and management advice. 3-C ISD's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) includes highly experienced, highly accomplished scientists in areas related to 3-C ISD's research and development. SAB members are committed to providing 3-C ISD staff with guidance, consultation, and assistance as needed across multiple on-going projects.
