3-C ISD Receives Four New R&D Grants for Serious Games and E-Learning

3-C Institute for Social Development (3-C ISD) is pleased to announce that we recently received grants to research and develop two serious games and two dynamic e-learning courses:

Serious Games

  • Continue research and development on Hall of Heroes, a superhero-themed game designed to help kids prepare for the social challenges of middle school in an engaging, effective way. Check out our Hall of Heroes overview video! (Department of Education Phase II grant)
  • Develop and test a social stories game prototype to help preschool children learn the social and behavioral skills to transition successfully to kindergarten. (Department of Education Phase I grant)


  • Research and develop an interactive online course to help high school students with high-functioning autism prepare for the transition to college. (Department of Education Phase I&II grant)
  • Research and develop an online course prototype to provide psychoeducation and skills training to help adolescents stay off substances. (National Institute on Drug Abuse Phase I grant)
